New Year at School

General — Posted by spud @ 10:35

We had a lot of snow days, and yesterday was crazy with the ice!! A lot of times school was closed, i think we had 1 day last week at school. This week we had Monday and obvioussly yesterday off for the snow & ice. But we're back into our normal lessons now that the new year is upon us. I just came from DT, that was alright, not as good as English with  Mrs M!!!! We had a party on the last 2 lessons of english, where we watched a film, we brought in food and we ate like pigs!!

But, no more of that until spring break now.

Hope all of you are well and not snowed in

Christmas

General — Posted by spud @ 10:48

We break up for christmas on Friday, and I just wanted to type a quick post before I go. Hi, if you don't know ,me, I am spud, not a potato, a persson. We are all getting ready for Christmas here, and were all looking forward to it. We are going to have a party in English tomorrow, and I'm gonna bring a surprize treat in! As I say, we are all getting geared up for Christmas and at home, the Christmas tree is up. We got a real one this year, instead of the fake one we have had for about 4 years.

Weird

General — Posted by spud @ 10:45

Me and a few others from the new 805 are back! We're back in the blog, teaching 704 so they can go on blogging when we stop, not that I'll stop until I've left!

Hope all the Year 7's do well and DON'T GET LOST!!!!!!

New School Year

General — Posted by spud @ 20:13
I'm looking forward to Year 8, I will still be on here and 1 lucky tutor group will do blogfoot 2 or something like that. and, to all new Year 7's THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. You will not be bullied or anything, everyone is nice here. It will still be scary 1st day, but I'm in Year 8 now, I've made through it, without getting lost, or getting an "L" or anything, and I've made 10 new friends, AT LEAST. Yes, it's scary, I know, but what's really scary? Nothing, is there?

Enrichment Week

General — Posted by spud @ 10:39
I am going to Kielder Water for Enrichment Week, it's gonna be so fun. Am going with pink and Mrs D and my friend Josh and all the Physio Suite people. It's so ace. I watched my mum write the cheque for £150.

Bolton Abbey

General — Posted by spud @ 10:41
I went to Bolton Abbey yesterday, for Humanities ACE Day it was SO CCCCCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLL. We got to draw a map of the Abbey grounds for our 1st session of Geography, then we went and drew a stained glass window for 1st R.E, then we did grave rubbings, it's really cool, you put a bit of paper on a gravestone, then rub the paper with a crayon, then whatever you want to write appears, I wasn't very good, but o well. Then we had lunch in the bl;azing sunshine

Responsibility Day

General — Posted by spud @ 14:19

On Tuesday it was Responsibility Day, it was SSSOOOOO Cool! I did team building first, it was a puzzle where you had to all get inside some cones (an island) by moving around this course with steps and a metal pole that you had to walk across, it was scary coz I can't balance well but luckily one of my frienbds was there to help me and to tell the people that were rushing me to "Go away". And, he put a quiz on random stuff in there, just to trick us, we didn't have 2 do the quiz, but we fell for it Frown. We eventually managed to get everybody there. Then we went to the other side of the divider and did some small group activities, which we did well. And, nobody could throw this tennis ball into the box that Miss was holding, then when she turned away, I threw the tennis ball and got it in the box, and it stayed in!!!!!

Then, all the people (but us) performed what they did. It was amazing. There was this guy, breakdancing, and he was ace. He did backflips and worms and rolls. It was so cool.

Then, I did textiles, we all got baseball hats in team building, and we had to decorate them, I did poopCry. Then, in the final hour (we had a late lunch, so we could have 2 hours on each activity) Two of my best friends did a catwalk(breakdancing) they were even better than the first guy, one of them lost about 60p out of his pockets, he picked it up at the end, though, so to sum up, Responsibility Day was awesome

Questions

General — Posted by spud @ 10:41
I know that people are scared of getting lost in such a big place, with loads of big people, but the truth is.... it's not that big-a-deal. I've j ust put a post on the Feeling Lost category, that plainly states YOU WILL NOT GET LOST. There are loads of people you get to meet, some of them are not ideal, but you will make tons of friends, I'm friends with just about everyone on here, everyone is really cool.

Birthday

General — Posted by spud @ 10:45
It was my birthday on the 8th May, it was really good, I got a playstation game and it didn't work that well, but I got other cooll stuff, and I can 't believe I'm 12. It's awesome. I got fishing tackle (a keepnet, a pole, some rig winders some bungs and a landing net) for anyone that understands that, I do. And I got a next voucher, two cool computer games, including one I wanted for Christmas, I was well chuffed, and I got nearly 100 quid in birthday money, it's so ace

Student of the Month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

General — Posted by spud @ 10:41
I can't believe it, there are about 325 students in Year 7, and they pick 1 student a month to be student of the month, and they picked me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AArgh, it's still sinking in and I got it for March. They awarded me it in assembly, and I'd gone, but 1 of my friends told me I'd won. It's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good

Blogfoot Competition

General — Posted by spud @ 10:38

Last Tuesday (3 March) We went to the 2009 VoiceIT transition competiton, that's a mouthful! Obviously we entered Blogfoot, it was just like the Oscars ceremony. One of my friends said "Why do celebrities want to win me?" We laughed, then, they did it in alphabetical order, and us being Beckfoot, were first! It was a bit scary, but I took it all in my stride. I only said 1 bit then sat down. They showed our film, which we will probably be putting on the website, it'll probably be on by the time I've finished this!!!!

Then we listened to I think it was 11 schools. We thought we would be the best, our main rivals at the start were Parkside, they did something similar, but we listened to theirs, found out it was nothing like ours, and it was crud! Then we broke for lunch, I had chicken, a ham sandwich, 2 big spicy potato wedges and a piece of bread. It was alright, didn't cost me a thing!!!!

Then, it was the awards time! We won most interactive and most informative, which we think was the best one. Holy Family won the overall prize, but we are sure they fiddled it! Lots of adults said if it was up to them, we'd have won. But, at the end of the day, we had fun, met new people, made some new friends and that's what it's all about. Isn't it?!

Blogteam Film

General — Posted by spud @ 10:47

As you know, all of 705 blog on here regularly, but a certain few do more or better posts than others, so they have been chosen in the Blogteam and I have, and today (Friday), we all, instead of going to Period 2, we went to the LRC. There we were greeted by Mark, a photographer, we have entered in a competition, and he is helping us make a film to enter. We all chatted about the blog, and the people filming asked us questions, we answered them. Now in tutor time, we are carrying on with the video.

Now, it is 13:05 (1:05 pm), and we're carrying on again. Now, Jack and Jake, two of the students, are taking pictures. We're in the LCC, (Languages Computer Centre). I am blogging from there.

New Year and Christmas Holidays

General — Posted by spud @ 10:37

The Holidays were really fun. On the run up to the big day though, I had this really pooey cold, and as well on Christmas Eve, I had to go to the doctors with conjunctivitis, oh no! But, we went to the next door neighbours till' about 10 o clock, then we went home and I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow! Then, on Christmas Day, I had to look twice at my clock because it said 7:32, I'm  used to getting up at about half past 5 on Christmas Day, anyway, I went into my mum & Dad's room, and at about quarter to 9 we went downstairs.

When we got down there, there was loadsa stuff, there was a big Christmas sackful and more! And, obviously, a few presents for Mum and Dad! I got, Football Manager 2009, Fifa 09 (but I get fifa every year), Big Brain Academy for wii and Wii Music and a few good books (one of which me and my dad are reading now) and to play Football Manager on, I got a laptop, yey!

Then, we went to my Grandma's, like we always do, for tea and it was made even cooler, because I got even more presents there! Then, on boxing day we went to my uncle's, and I stayed to about 10:30. Then, it was New Year, we went round to my friends, dad went to his till' about 11, then brought our leftover Bonfire Night fireworks. Then, we did a countdown then at midnight, then let some fireworks off! We all stayed until 1.

It felt really weird to be packing for school, after I hadn't done it for nearly a fortnight! But, in the morning, it was the usual, dad lets me watch tv while I eat my toast, then gets cross at me for not eating fast enough! But then, school in 2009 was even better than in 2008, I didn't think that was possible! Laughing
